New In: Wet 'N' Wild Goodies

Hey Ladies,

So I woke up to the loveliest surprise last week, a little package in the post with some Wet 'n' Wild goodies. There was ooodles amount of excitement online when it was revealed that Wet 'n' Wild would be coming to Irish shores and naturally enough I was eager to try a few bits. I often pass by the stand in my local super market and catch myself "oooohing" at their colourful range of lipsticks, shadows and nail polish. I like to mix it up a bit here on the blog to make sure my reviews suit every ones budget and with prices starting from as little as €1.99 and only going as far as €5.49 it's safe to say Wet 'N' Wild have something for everyone.

First up lets talk lipsticks, I was sent two different lipsticks. At first glance the Mega Slicks Balm Stain sure wouldn't you think that was a Clinique Chubby stick? I expected this balm to have very little colour pay off but was presently surprised when one swipe gave plenty of coverage so it could be worn alone or paired with a lipstick. The texture is lovely and creamy and will leave a very slight stain as it starts to wear off but won't dry out lips. On the opposite end of the scale lets talk matte lipsticks. The Mega Last Lipsticks do exactly what it says on the tin, a matte lipstick with unbelievable colour payoff that would rival high end lipsticks such as MAC. Now bearing in mind that as it is a matte lipstick towards the end of the day your lips will start to dry out a little hence why I paired these two together and looking at their swatches you'd be put off by the colour combination but they go really well together and have a nice comfortable texture since your mixing mattes and balms.

Brows, brows, brows. You all know I love a good brow product and it seems like I am straying further and further away from my beloved MAC Dipdown Fluidline that is my usual haunt when it comes to brows. I have been opting for more natural effortless brows especially since it is Summer time (I didn't say it was sunny tho). The Colour Icon Brow Pencils are by far the best eye brow pencils on the market when it comes to budget buys. The shade range is fantastic (Brunettes Do It Better suits me to a T) and the pencil is just waxy enough for it to last all day but not hard to get it to work through your brows. It also comes with a little mascara wand on the opposite end so you can brush brows into place. LOVE it.

Last but not least we have the Coverall Primer, which is not like your regular silica heavy primer. You know the ones that are really silky but if you have a dry skin they suck the life from you. The texture of the Coverall Primer is more of a creamy gel texture. If your overly oily, as in can't keep makeup on your face for more than 5 minutes maybe give this a miss. If your a dry, dry combination or a normal skin type you will get on swimmingly with this primer. I find it blurs the skin a little especially in and around the nose area so if pores are your problem give it a try. To be honest for only €5 you'd be mad not to try this, a fuss free primer that you can pop under your makeup everyday to give it a bit more hold and to smooth out skin. Ideal for someone who wears makeup every day for work and doesn't like to spend too much on a base.

And there you have it, so let's have a little chat below...what are your favourite products from Wet 'N' Wild? Are their mascara any good? you know me for mascaras always on the prowl for THE ONE.
