Bargain Betty!

Hey Ladies,

There is nothing I love more than a good bargain, even if I really don't need it I will still buy it because I hate passing up a bargain. Recently TK Maxx have been stocking in some really good brands like Chanel, Stila, NYX, OPI, Essie and Sally Hansen with super prices, it's a blogger's dream!

I popped in a couple of weeks ago when I had some free time before work and picked up some of the Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips. I absolutely love this strips because they are super long lasting and they come in some really interesting designs! If you have been a follower of my blog for a while then you will have already read my review on them and know that I am a huge fan! If you haven't read it you can check it out here.

I am unable to wear nail polish when I am in work so I picked up two designs that will come in handy for a special occasion. I can literally apply these two minutes before walking out the door and remove them when I get home with zero hassle especially since they are glitter.

Check them out (oooh-aaah)

I got these beauties for €3.99 each which is ridiculously amazing because in the chemist they are are €9 and in Penney's/Primark they are €5. Savings all round!

Love,
S

Bubblegum Photo Shoot

Hey,
So on Sunday as part of the ending of the make up course I have been doing for the last 12 weeks, we had an exam/photo shoot. The theme of the photo shoot was Bubblegum and was centred around bright colours and was very Nicki Minaj-esque. We were each given a colour to base out look on and the colour I got was green, so as you might have seen in my last post that I bought an Inglot palette for this look. I used yellow, green, teal and pink in my look to make it super bright and obnoxious.

Here is the final look....

This look was quite inspired by the Countdown video by Beyonce but with a few changes. I think it turned out quite well, especially for my first time doing something like this,

Here is some photos when we were on location for the shoot....

Hopefully in the end the photographer got some good shots despite the crappy weather.

Brown Smoke

Hey Ladies,
Here is the promised look similar to that in Purple Smoke (check that out here) but in more of a wearable look using browns and highlights.Once again, to create the strong line on the outer corner take a damp cotton bud and dragging from the outer corner up to the brows remove the eye-shadow. Its a really simple but eye catching look, as you can see I have used my normal products and created my everyday look but I have added the strong line shape which changes the look and makes your eyes look more feline shaped.

If you would like me to do a tutorial/step by step of this look, leave a comment below.

Too Overdue!

 Hey Ladies,

This is a post that is very very overdue! A long long long time ago I began following the lovely Clare and I juts happened to be her 300th follower on Twitter and she sent me a prize! A couple of days later I received a package in the post from Clare with my prize along with a little note, glittery stars, sweets and a lollipop, yum.

The prize I received was from her web store called buTTerfLypie. You can check that out here! The products are all very cute and affordable. She sent me some gorgeous handmade jewellery pieces which are so cute and colourful and are perfect for anyone who looks up to people like Katy Perry or Kandee Johnson and wants to steal there style.

First off is this ring which is so different to anything I have seen before!

Next up is these gorgeous very lightweight earrings..

Last but not least is this cute little shoe shaped piece that I keep on my keys...

Hello Ladies :)
Over the past few days I've been experimenting with Henna, because i have to do it in college for an exam. For the exam I will have to do three pieces, a traditional hand piece, a modern foot piece and a larger modern piece, which I have chosen to do a lotus flower. So far, I've only practised the hand and foot design. For the first time I did them they turned out pretty alright, only onwards and upwards from here...hopefully. I'm going to do the larger piece for the back tomorrow.

For anyone else that is interested in Henna, you can buy pre made henna in cones from various shops but usually ones that sell Indian products. In Dublin, I bought mine in George's Street Arcade for €3 on a stand that sells Indian and Chinese inspired clothes.

Here's some pictures of what I've done so far. If you follow me on Twitter you probably have already seen these. When I'm finished the exam I'll post pictures with my final pieces.

Love,
S.
